Write a short reflection explaining what you're proud of, what you had trouble with and what you would do differently if given the chance to do it over again.
The purpose of this project was to show off what we learned about responding to job interview questions and to show people what we are capable of doing in a real world job situation. There were a lot of good parts when it came to our project. One of them was that we learned and spoke spanish clearly to each other. Another thing I am proud about is that we did this project with in a weeks time. One thing I had trouble with was pronouncing some of the words but with practice, I got them nicely for the podcast. Another thing I would do differently if I had another chance to do it would be to plan ahead of time and organize my audio some more.

"Bullying takes place within a larger social context comprised of the relationships among students, teachers, administrators, and staff of the school as well as the members of the larger community. These relationships contribute to the culture of the school and set the stage for the degree to which bullying situations are tolerated or taken on. BULLY shows the complexity of the community and culture surrounding any school exemplified in the aftermath of Tyler Long’s suicide in Murray County, Georgia. Five weeks after his death, Tyler’s parents organized a town hall meeting to bring their community together to talk about bullying." from - http://thebullyproject.com/indexflash.html#
Website: http://thehistoricalcivilrightsmovement.weebly.com/ Process Paper:
I picked my topic the Civil
Rights Movement, because I have learned many things about it over the years,
but I know there is a lot that I haven’t learned. I want to learn more about
three specific events, and they were: The Bus Boycott, The I Have A Dream Speech,
and The Assassination of MLK. I knew the basic stuff already, but I wanted to
dig down deeper into the situation so I did.
I checked many different
websites looking for new information, and I found some new things, but I wasn’t
satisfied. So I did something I never do, I read a book, the Rosa Parks
Biography. I learned some things from it; one really interesting thing was that
the Boycott might have been set up. Rosa wasn’t the first person to get
arrested for sitting in the front of a bus. It was a 16-year-old pregnant girl,
I didn’t include this in my project, but it was new to me.
I made my articles like a regular
2fer from English class, but that wasn’t the way I was supposed to do it. I had
to make them like actual newspaper articles so I did. It was kind of hard for
me, but I did it to the best of my abilities.
Then I made my website. I tried to
put the events in order so people could travel through time on my website to
see what the civil right movement was like. I have pictures from each event on
each page. I feel that the website is good. The articles aren’t long, and
boring just about a page and a half for each category. I also have a video of
MLK making his I Have A Dream Speech. In the end I was somewhat proud of my website. It could have been better, but it is what I produced.
This is a video of the MLK I have a dream speech. I like this source because it not only give me a chance to see him give his speech, I get to see the crowds reaction to each every word he had to say. Everyone had good reaction. I first thought it was only blacks who attended the speech, but whites also attended.
This is a picture of Rosa Parks being arrested after her bus incident on December 1st 1955 the website behind the photo explains what exactly happened the day she was arrested. I feel like this is a credible source, I like it.
MLK was arrested in Birmingham for leading the Civil Rights movement. He was set to lead a march, and the police would not allow it. He was spit on, and disrespected, and every other way. After all of that he was arrested. Very good picture, and background story.
This is a picture of President Johnson signing the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Civil Rights leaders including MLK are in this picture, and were apart of this the Civil Rights Movement. It was a something MLK had been fighting for a very long time.
The is a photo of MLK laying on the balcony of the Lorraine Hotel after being shot by “James Earl Ray”. Jesse Jackson, and two other guys were around MLK when he was shot. I like this source because it shows me exactly where MLK was when he was shot, and it has the immediate reaction of the people who were around him. Secondary Sources:
This is the I have a dream speech in text. I read this before I watched the video just so I could know what MLK was saying, because during the video I was really paying attention to the reactions of people around him. This source is good because it has the whole speech, and now I know everything MLK said when he gave his speech. I like this source.
This is an article about the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and how it started. I feel like this source is good, because it digs deep down into the Bus Boycott. Rosa Parks was arrested, and Civil Rights Leaders such as MLK got into action, encouraged blacks not to ride public transportation. Very enjoyable source to read.
When MLK was shot people all around the nation were affected by it emotionally. This source tells almost everything that happened leading up to Kings death. He was in Memphis for some Sanitary workers who were on strike.

This Q3 I didn't follow a lot of the assignments given but I did do work. This first picture Is a picture of me when I was younger and I first editted it on the computer and then used another resource to add extra graphics to it. I like my photo edits for this picture it gives it a vintage feel with a war effect.

This assign met I had to draw a picture of myself. We used mirrors in class to look at ourself while we drew the picture my indeed it was a challenge. I drew the picture picture from a side view because it would be a little easier. Drawing pictures of yourself is a little hard because you do't really know how to draw yourself as you see yourself. It is much easier to draw other people.

I this picture I drew a sunset with pastel. One day in art I wasn't really feeling the assignment given so I started to shaded colors together and before I knew it I had a sunset. I first started using shades of yellow and orange and drew a half circle in yellow, the shaded orange around it. Then I used shades of blue and green for water. Together this formed a warm sunset.
I this assignment we had to shade objects and I shaded an object I drew myself that I saw in my mind. So there are a series of rectangles around each other and I as I drew the shapes I began to shade. At first the shade was hard because you had to go from a hard shade to a soft shade ad sometime it was difficult to transition but as I did more It got much easier.
This quarte I have completed about 5 mixes all long then the previous quarter.
this quarter was one of the hardest for me as a mixer, I had to get my name out there to the public so that way I could start to gain more ground apart from my local sene.I did research on dj's and mixers from other countries such as DJ LOBO, DJ ENUFF,DJ ALEX SENSATION,DJ HULKA, and i cam to the con conclusion that i have to understand the past so that I can enhance my future, so I went threw all my music and mix all of the old thing with a drop of the new things.
For the next quarter I want to continue my research and also do look up on other dj's from Chile and brazil....

For Q3 advanced art, I used a different style to bring most
of my drawings to life. One of the artist tools that mainly are presented in my
artwork is the use of pencil. I enjoy incorporating pencil into many of my
drawings because I like to add shading and shadow textures. I love giving my
drawings a more realistic feel so that my observers can actually get a taste of
my art work and how I have improved over the last 1Q and 2Q. Overall I am very
impressed with the styles I used and the progress that has come all this way
from finishing all the artwork.
Self - portrait:
In this portrait that I have drawn of myself, I feel I could
of done a better job at more of the shading aspect of the picture. I think
there is room for improving this picture with more of the shadowing and shading
around the eye area. The texture of the hair was my favorite part when I was
creating this part of the portrait. I like giving things a texture and drawing
it to seem realistic.
Texture Drawings:
Texture drawing is what I mainly progress in more of my
detailed explanations about my drawings because it was a big part of the act of
style I was incorporations into each of my drawings. In this picture I used a
vase that I drew in order to show the process of shading and the use of
shadowing. I like drawing still figures with good lighting because I am able to
catch every aspect of angles to allow shading and shadowing.
Shading Practice:
Here are a few shading practice drawings that I have done to
improve my shadowing and to allow the viewpoints of each of the different
shading. My favorite part about shading in the different textures is blending
in the final product.
This quarter in Art I didn't decide to opt out of the class completely but I did skip over some assignments. In the beginning of the quarter I was going through some family issues so drawing wasn't the first thing on my mind. Instead, I chose to do the assignments that had to do with lots of color. I know art is an expression and I only wanted to express positive feelings and emotions. The first project I did was a color wheel. The color wheel consists of the primary colors, secondary colors, and tertiary colors. When I started, I had no clue what tertiary meant but once I started painting it all made sense. I used watercolors to paint my color wheel. At first, I thought I was doing the color wheel wrong because my colors didn't exactly match up to the ones I saw online but Ms. Hull informed me that you'll never get it to be perfect especially with the different textures you could use.
The second project I did was my own interpretation of the Primary Colors. There wasn't a real format of how we were supposed to do, it just had to include the 3 Primary colors. I decided to put the colors on the paper in the form of stripes. The basic premise of my project was to basically tell everyone that these are just the basics and the rest is up to you. I added up 2 of each of the primary as if I was doing math colors but I never showed the outcome. I want people to do what they want with the colors and mix them the way they want to and make whatever colors they choose. It's really all up to them. Art is about what you want it to be so I won't be the person to dictate your artistic expression.
This was the most challenging quarter for me but the work I've completed makes me proud despite everything I've recently gone through.

Ecosystems What Is A Ecosystem? A ecosystem is a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical environment.
What Kinds Of Ecosystems are there?
There are three types of major ecosystems: 1. Freshwater Ecosystems 2. Ocean Ecosystems 3. Terrestrial Ecosystems
What do ecosystems consist of?
An ecosystem consists of the biological and physical environment of an area. The biological environment is made up of all living organisms in the area. The physical environment includes the air, the earth, water, and the weather. All these biological and physical factors interact within the ecosystem. They compose a network of complex relationships that control population growth. Each plant and animal species has a role or way of life within the ecosystem. This is called its niche.
Tundra - The climate is extremely cold, dry, and the subsoil is permanently frozen. Plants these include lichens, low shrubs, and sedges. Some of the animals there are the Arctic fox, lemmings, polar bear, caribou, wolves, and many migratory birds.
Boreal Forest - The climate has cold winters, and a short growing season. Coniferous evergreen trees, chiefly balsam fir, black spruce, jack pine, and white spruce are plants you would find there. Animals include bears, wolves, moose, ducks, and loons.
Temperate Coniferous Forest - Has cool, middle and upper mountain slopes, coastal areas with mild winters and heavy rainfall. Coniferous evergreen trees, including cedar, hemlock, pine, and redwood are among the plant life. Bears, elk, mountain lions, and wolves are animals in the region.
Temperate Deciduous Forest - Cold winters, warm summers, moist. Broadleaf deciduous trees such as elm, maple, and oak. Animals there are deer, raccoons, squirrels, and many kinds of small birds.
Chaparral - Climate includes rain, mild winters, hot and dry summers, fires are common in this area. Plant life includes low shrubs with small and hard leaves. Coyotes, mule deer, and many species of lizards are animals in the region.
Desert - Extremely dry. Cati and other fleshy plants, sparse grasses, and small-leaved shrubs. This region also has lizards, snakes, many small rodents.
Grassland - Temperate, subhumid. Grasses and other herbaceous plants. Antelope, pronghorn bison, buffaloes, wolves, and coyotes live in the area.
Savanna - Long dry season. Grasses and scattered clumps of trees. Giraffes, zebras, jackals, and lions live in the region.
Tropical RainForest - Warm and wet all year. Broadleaf evergreen trees, some palms and tree ferns, and climbing vines. Animals include bats, colorful birds, lizards, monkeys, and snakes.

Fresh off handily beating their arch rival and divisional nemesis Randolph for the first time last week by a final count of 14-4, SLA Baseball stepped foot onto some unlikely hallowed ground at 35th and Oxford Fairmount Park. In the final game of the 2011 season the Rockets were heavy underdogs against a strong Strawberry Mansion team. But SLA was surging as well in recent "must win" games, and crushing Freire 16-1 in just 3 innings of no-hit ball by All-Star senior Brandon Williams helped set up the "win and you're in" contest. In the end, that game- a nail-biting, see-saw, war of attrition- ended in dramatic fashion with Williams forcing Mansion's best hitter to pop up with the based loaded to secure the 14-12 victory. The win gave SLA an 8-4 overall record, completing a lightning-quick turnaround from the previous 4-8 inaugural campaign, and shockingly propelled SLA into the city playoffs for the first time in school history. Had they lost the game they would have been knocked out by way of head-to-head tie breaker with their bitter rival Randolph, but in beating Mansion they leap frogged them and secured the #2 seed in the playoffs. That team would go onto hold toe-to-toe with the Philadelphia Charter Academy, a B Division powerhouse with a stacked lineup- for five innings before finally relenting. The season ended, but the magic was just beginning. While SLA lost a talented core of seniors- namely John Desalis, Marshall Johnston, Anthony Seeley and Brandon Williams- the team retained it's young core of underclassmen who played pivotal roles in creating a team that believed in itself.
