Q3 Art Reflection

I think I was able to draw most of the room. Even though it took me a long time, I think I did the tiles pretty well. I feel I used my time wisely and didn't procrastinate as much as I usually do. I also think I did fine on my windows even though it was pretty hard. If I could do this project again I would try to finish it. I would also like to see more chairs and tables. I think Jonathan drawing was successful. His drawing has the doors, the windows, the tables and the chairs. He was able to finish. I learned that one point perspective is not as looking and drawing what you see. There are steps you have to follow to get a good drawing.

I feel like I did a good job on my door and a little on my windows.  If I could do this assignment again I would use my time wisely and I would work harder on my cabinets.  I liked Johnny's drawing because his drawing looks neat and he has a very little amount of eraser marks.  I learned that things look better in person than in a picture.

I do not think I accomplished anything on my final drawing. This is because I did not have the same amount of time as the rest of the class. I think if I had the same amount of time that I would be finished my drawing and think I was successful. I would change the size of the paper. The bigger the canvas/paper the harder it is to capture your vision. 
I chose Jonathon Salvidar's drawing because I think it shows how hard he worked on it. He shows how he used all the techniques we learned in class and it shows he used his own skills.
I learned about the vanishing point and what angle to draw your objects.

I feel like I did my ceiling half way right and I started of my window correctly. If I did this project again I would probably change my time management, I spent way too much time on one thing. I found Jonathan's drawing, I think his drawing is successful because he meets all of the requirements and he was almost finished. Plus it looks really nice. His drawing has the windows, table, chair, wall, and ceiling. I learned that is quit difficult.

1. I felt as if I accomplished a good portion of my drawing given that we weren't allowed to work on it outside of class, and didn't have much time. I tried very hard on making all of my lines straight, and connected to my vanishing point, to set a good base for the rest of my drawing. 

2. I would try and manage my time, by rather focusing on one part, to try to get a draft done first, and then worry about details later. 

3. I think Kaamil's drawing it really well done. His lines are dark, and all line up with the vanishing point. I also think his windows are done really nicely.

4. I learned from one point perspective how to make things appear closer or farther away, and then also bigger and smaller.  I also learned how to use the vanishing point.

I am very proud of my drawing because I spent a lot of time on this and I feel like this is one of the top drawing I've drew this year. If I could do this project again I would've used my time more wisely because I didn't get a lot done the first class. It would've been really helpful. I think Johnathan's drawing was successful. It met all the requirements, and he included lots of detail. I learned that it's not a simple task or skill, and it takes time to perfect your drawing.

​Personally I don't feel like I accomplished really anything, it looks to me like a drawing that someone just started. Because I have only things from the beginning of the drawing and not the important parts of it. I only really just finished the outline of the tiles and the walls, so if I was to start over I would work on more and talk less, even though I was not talking and not working. I would just talk less so I could focus more on the drawing. The one that I think was successful was this drawing that had all of the requirements in it and it looked nice. Everything was organized and there wasn't any extra lines or eraser marks on it. I think that they went above and beyond for the amount of time that was given to work on it. All in all I would just say that it is a good representation of the classroom (By the way this is me describing Johnny). I learned that one perspective drawings are much more difficult to draw then free hand drawings.

Lyle Seitz/ Final Drawing

I think I accomplished most of what was needed for the assignment, but I didn't have enough time to draw anything past the door on the side wall. I think I could have also added more tables and chairs, but again, I did not have enough time. Despite these things, I think I did pretty well.

If I were to do this project again, I would spend more time on each individual piece of the drawing, instead of the whole.

I think Sopheary's is really good, and she did a good job on her ceiling tiles. They look like they are perfectly spaced, and she must have spent a long time on them.

I learned that there are lines called orthagonals, that come from the vanishing point, which is where the image vanishes to.

I feel like I had did my best and I will get a good grade in art.

I would create a new wall with coloring

I know that my drawing is very successful because I had tried my best and I also had added detail.

I had learned that it can be hard, and I would always have to try my best. I cannot let anything else get in my way I just need to focus on what I need to do.

I feel like I have accomplished the ceiling tiles. I was pretty challenging at first, but I tried to make it work. I would probably have took my time instead of rushing to finish it. One drawling that I seen that was successful was Java's drawling. She made it look realistic and it looks like she put her hard time and effort into it. I learned with doing this that it takes time and it's skill that you learn over time to be successful at.

 I feel like I did not accomplish much, because I missed half the work time due to sickness. If I could do it again, I would take it home and work on it. I think Elias's drawing is successful, because I know he put a lot of work into it. I learned that one pt prespective makes your artwork more sharp and accurate, but it is not really a form of art, just a template.

I think that I tried to fulfill all the requirements, one thing that I messed up on a ton was the center point. I kept on having to redo that. I really wish I could have added windows and doors on the side and also more decorations around the room. I think Java did a really good job on her drawing, it is detailed and pleasant to look at, it has strong proportions and looks realistic. I learned about how realistic it can look, if done well it appears very real. I think one point perspective could and probably is used in engineering and other concept designs.

  • I feel like I accomplished especially because I am horrible drawer but I took al lot of time to do it so I think I accomplished a lot.

  • I would probably change my chairs into stools and  change my visual point cause my roof wasn't going right .

  • I think that  Tito's drawing was good because he had every essential and had very clean lines.
  • d. What did you learn about one point perspective?
  • I learned that your visual point  and that going and seeing in a point perspective. I also learned it that straight lines come in place.

In my project I really focused on getting the ceiling and floor nice.  I really made sure I had the right amaount of tiles as in real life.  And I worked on one of the side walls. 

 What do you feel like you accomplished with your final drawing? 
I feel I accomplished my ceiling and floor.  By getting the lines right.

 What would you change or differently if you could do this project again?
I would have added the table and stool and manage my time better by being not such a perfectionist.

Jonathon's drawling is really nice I like his shading and how his lines are different shapes.  And He got what he had to get done in the drawling. 

What did you learn about one point perspective?
I learned that it can look different if you are at different levels. And that everything goes back to a vanishing point.

  • I feel like I accomplished my ceiling, because that took more time than I expected. I also had to remember the lights on the ceilings.

  • If I were to do this project again, I would add tile to the floor, and redo my my window on the left side.

  • Java's drawing is successful because she made sure to add tile, and her windows really look like they are distant according to the perspective she was drawing from.
  • d. What did you learn about one point perspective?
  • One point perspective all revolves around the orthagonal lines and vertical lines

  • a. I feel like I accomplished the making the window on the side wall and making the window panels. The window panels get bigger as you get closer to the ceiling. Additionally, my table goes to the vanishing point. I think my column looks very good because it looks 3D and is perfectly horizontal. 
  • b. If I could do this again, I would focus less on the little details and focus more on the bigger picture to complete more of an outline. I would also hope to take the paper outside of class to accomplish more of an actual representation of the art classroom. 
  • c. I think Sopheary Sok's is very successful because all of her items vanish into the vanishing point and the ceiling tiles are perfectly aligned on the ceiling. 
  • d. I learned that when you draw objects on a paper, they should all retract and lead to the vanishing point. This makes the pictures look more realistic. Whenever I have to draw something of the sort again, I will definitely make sure I have a vanishing point.

I feel like I got most of my drawing accomplished, although I feel like I slacked when I was drawing the side walls. If I could do this project again I would've used my time more wisely because I didn't get a lot done the first class, which would've been really helpful. I drawing I think was really successful was Ijustice's because he made it look like a realistic room, met all the requirements, and he included other objects in the room (not just a table and a chair). I learned that it's not a simple skill, and it takes a lot of time to perfect, or even just learn the basics.

I don't feel like I accomplished anything. I did an assignment similar to this one, so it wasn't that difficult. I forgot to put the tiles on the floor. If I never did this assignment I would feel like I accomplished making the back wall, ceiling, side and the tables and chairs. If I did this project again I wouldn't save it till the last moment. If I did this project again I would actually try. Honestly I don't think any of the drawing were successful, but if they were close to being successful then it'll be Kaamil's drawing. It fully accomplished making the ceiling, table, chairs, back wall, side wall, however it doesn't have the door on the side wall. I kinda of didn't learn anything of one perspective because I already learned this in 7th grade.

Lily Palmer Final Project

During the project, I did the ceiling & a bit of the side wall. If I could do it again, I'd spend equal amounts of time on everything. I think I spent too much time on the ceiling tiles, so I didn't get to the other parts. 
 
I really enjoyed Sopheary's. This ones walls look really even & it doesn't look like there are any eraser marks or anything. The table & chairs are perfect proportions. It's very clean with light lines. 

During this quarter, I learned how to make things look 3D. I also learned how to make some things look bigger than others from one point perspective. It was super interesting to learn about, since I didn't know how to do it before.

ARTIST statement:
In my art i tried to capture a very calm and happy vibe. I think I did just that with my Animal sketch because the dog was very calm. This was by far my favorite piece of art that I did this quarter. The reason behind this is i really enjoy animals, plus i thought that the vibe of my photo was energetic but also happy. Another piece of art that I very much enjoyed making was the basic shapes. This was very fun because you could see the shapes come together as you were doing the drawing. I ended up making a Calvin and Hobbes photo to go with my theme of calm and happy. The reason that this is calm is because it is just a cartoon for kids, which although has a violent scene still gives off a good vibe. For week 5 and 6 I learned how to correctly shade. This helped me in more than just this class because i now know how to shade for the rest of my classes and also when I want to draw in life. The shading skill was the most useful skill I learned this quarter I was also proud of my Self portrait because it was a good depiction of myself. It was hard to draw my eyes but I learned how to online.

​       This quarter I focused more on things I like, especially with drawing animals. The first project with abstract was more of a work that I research about. Self portrait was challenging because I do not usually draw people or their faces. Value assignment was fun because I used to do assignments like this before in middle school. Basic shapes and animal shapes helped me in general for drawing because I did not think of drawing shapes before I sketch what I wanted to work on. I wanted to focus more on things I am not good at and having these assignments helped a lot to challenge my art skills.

​Hello, I'm Klarissa Hudson and this is my work from my senior art class. In this class we have students who are "passing", "middles", and "college preps." Each section has different artworks to be completed based on their level. I'm in the "passing" group, so I have the smaller and easier assignments to complete. This quarter I had to:

1. Draw a self portrait of myself

2. Draw value

3. Draw with basic shapes

4. Draw an animal


For my first assignment, I worked to create a self portrait of myself. I chose a picture of myself from a photo shoot that I was in. For the second assignment, I drew the levels of shading from light to dark. I then used those levels to draw a ball and what it looked like. For the third assignment I drew a hamster using only circles, rectangles, and triangles. After that I redrew the hamster using the same shapes and just took out the extra lines and rounded out some of the areas. And for the fourth assignment I drew a red panda using shades to show the furs' texture and colors. Please enjoy and comment if you like; thank you for taking time to look at my work.

Quarter 3 Art Portfolio

During this third quarter in Ms. Hull’s two day art class, everything has been excellent. In this quarter we had to make the following pieces; a self portrait, a value drawing, a basic shapes drawing, and an animal sketch.  All of the pieces were given 100% of my time and effort, which can clearly be seen through the work. I believe that this quarter has been my best yet. I loved making every single piece because I like variety. I also like trying new things, and this quarter was all about that. 

My favorite piece of art work was definitely the panda drawing I made. Personally for me, animals are one of my favorite things in the world. I love animals. My favorite animal is the panda. I think they’re adorable and loving. I believe giving it personality is something I struggled with. I wanted the panda to transmit the peace and loving environment he was in. I used darker shades to interpret that. It was very fun and the best drawing of a panda I have ever made!

Hello, my name is Mingxue Zheng. The following slide show will contain the artworks that I have done in the third quarter of my senior art class. 

As a “middle” I completed...

I found the assignments this quarter to be challenging, but nevertheless interesting. This is my first time sketching an abstract piece. I made an mask with two sides. Inside the mask, you could see spiderwebs, checkerboards, shirt collars, neckties, and etc. My favorite painting this quarter is the self portrait. Comparing to the self portrait I did in the first quarter, it is much better. Others could actually tell that it is me! 

The value and animal shape assignments are very useful practices to create the animal drawing. I learned how to create three dimensional objects by creating illusions with shadows and shadings. The animal sketch (lion) is the best animal sketch that I ever did.

I improved a lot compare to the first two quarters. I started to take more of my time perfecting my drawings and art starts to became one of my prized hobbies.
