Respiration Lesson

  In this unit, an experiment was conducted to introduce the topic of respiration and photosynthesis. From that experiment, this group was assigned to learn more about respiration. To open up a basic idea of respiration, videos and extensive research was conducted. After gaining all this information, a Google Presentation was created and that presentation was used to teach the class about respiration and it also included details, unknown to the class.

      

      Just like any other lesson, this lesson had many good parts, but it can still be improved. For example, the presentation included a lot of pictures and because of that, the lesson was made very clear. However, one major change to be made would be to have more resources. There was no prior knowledge about respiration and that made it hard to actually teach the lesson without messing up some information.

Photosynthesis

Hello. My name is Gabrielle Cromley. I collaborated with Kayla Cassumba, Toby Mast, and Kiamesso DiSilva on a presentation on the process of photosynthesis for my Bio-Chem class. Photosynthesis is the process by which sun energy, carbon dioxide, and water are converted into carbohydrates, oxygen, and sugars by plants algae and bacteria. Respiration - Table 1

Hi! My name is Arianna Haven, and this is my presentation about respiration. This project is for my 9th grade Bio-Chem class at Science Leadership Academy. Our job as a table was to create a presentation about either respiration or photosynthesis to be able to teach the class. My table group got respiration. We researched online and in text books all about respiration, and we created this. As a group we wanted to focus on/ learn about the start and end products of the respiration process. Because of our focus on this topic we learned that respiration starts with glucose and ends with ATP. Of course there are many other processes in between such as glycolysis, the electric transport train, and chemiosmosis. Although we learned so much as a group, I would change a few things. One of the things I would change is how we managed our time. I believe that if we planned out small “due-dates” for ourselves, we would have not been as stressed. However, all in all, I believe we did a great job, and were able to achieve our goal.

La Mesa de la United Democrática quiere reunir la gasolina. Ellos piensa es hora de tener más dinero. En dos mil trece, apenas 1% para este año 53%. En dos mil doce de Octubre, más producción por 30%. Venezuela pasó 216 mil millones dólares de GDP. Otros precios serán caros; educación, seguridad social, infraestructura y para la superación de la pobreza. Quieren aumentar la producción de alimentos. Ellos van a tener una programa por tres mil las personas pobreza. Nacional de infraestructura para mejorar carreteras, autopistas, hospitales y escuelas. Ellos piensan el dinero ayuda la comunidad.


Yo pienso todo es caro porque el gobierno quiere más dinero por guerra y armas. A veces, ellos no promesa que ellos dicen. Quien la gasolina costaba más, la comida y la ropa va a costar más. Las personas trabajan y que no se hacen pagados mucho. También educación va a costar más y para las décadas pasadas, los personas son pobres. Hay mucho pobreza. En Estados Unidos, la gasolina es muy es caro y el dinero va a la guerra. Un poco de dinero va a escuela, pero la educación es horrible en la ciudad.  En Filadelfia, hay treinta y dos estudiantes son en un clase. Yo no puedo aprender.

Respiration

Hello! For this project my group was to focus on respiration.  We had to make a presentation that could be taught to our peers.  By the end of this project my group wanted to be able to explain a diagram of the process of respiration.  We also wanted to know how ATP is formed in more detail.  Something my group learned was about what happens during the major sections of respiration, like glycolysis and the Krb’s cycle. What my team would do differently next time is experiment with voice overs so that the diagrams on our presentation are much easier to understand.

Sean Force and Nicholas Murray interview Merrik Saunders and Roberto Abazoski on the topic of lie detection methods and their uses, especially in the applications of the country's legal system.  Should these methods be admissible in court, especially those that involves observing the brain for activation of certain areas in order to determine when the subjects are lying?  Could this lead us down a road that we didn't intend, into a world where we can be punished for this we don't even do?

A New take on Teens Being Tried as Adults

Shannon and I were using what we learned about neurological disorders to take a new look on teens being tried as adults for crimes. It's a known fact that the brain isn't fully developed until about 21 years and that being the most complex organ in the body there's a lot it does that we don't exactly know how, this shines a light on point being made on court decisions for one with a lower brain capacity.

Los Profesores y los Soñadores


Hay una organización. Es para los profesores en América. Se llama enseñar para América. Su objective es generar más profesores con el fin de ayudar a los niños de la pobreza. Son una muy bueno organización y uno de los pocos que ayudan a pobres a través de la educación. Educación es el primer paso para liberarse de la pobreza y encontrar el éxito. 

Este artículo habla de “enseñar para América” y la idea de que los emigrantes debe ser deberían estar recibiendo una educación y no tienen miedo de ser deportados. ¿Educación americana se supone que bueno, no? En realidad no pero es mejor que muchos países. ¡Si dejamos que la gente en este país, no debemos negarles sus derechos! Derechos como educación decente. Ellos deberían tener la mejor educación posible. Si no lo hacen, nuestro país va a morir. ¿No me creas? Esto ya está sucediendo. Nos estamos podridos por dento y por fuera debido a una falta general en educación. Tanto analfebetismo. Es una tragedia y algo que necesita cambiar.  

En este artículo aprendí mucho. Yo aprendí palabras como analfebetismo, emigrantes, negar, cambiar, dento, y debido. Yo aprendí sobre las necesidades educación de los inmigrantes y sus luchas diarias. Estoy totalmente de acuerdo que todo el mundo debe dar la mejor educación posible.
