One point perspective
a. What is one thing that your learned specifically that you did not know before? I learned how the vanishing point works and what a vanishing point was because before I had never heard of what that was before Floor Line and ceiling Line was and how it affects my drawing.
b. How did leaning this thing make your drawings better?
The floor line made my drawing look like it was 3 denominational so it gave it a better look the for the windows chairs desks it gave the drawing that illusion.
c. If you did this assignment again, what would you do differently? I would erase every thing and I would take my time get a bigger ruler to make perfect lines I would start from top to bottom.
d. What is your advice to someone who has never drawn a one point perspective drawing before?
Take your time listen to your teacher and make sure that if you do make a mistake its not the end of the world erase it and learn fro your mistake no ones is perfect first time I know mine was not.
e. What resource helped you the most and why?
I think the drawing that was posted online because it gave us a feel of what it need to look like and how we where supposed to make it and having that helped me alot

Art final Project
I have taken art classes sense I was young, so this wasn't much of a learning experience. I did learn more about the measurement process and more about scaling. I feel that this piece isn't my best work but I am still rather proud of it because I am very bad with perspective. If I could redo this project I would have given more in class instructions and would have given a longer time to complete the project. I also suffer from depth presentation issues so the fact that this drawing came out so well was very surprising. All in all I really enjoyed this project.

During this project I learned some new things that I had not previously known. One thing I learned was how to use one point perspective to create a 3D drawing. Learning this made my drawing better because I can now make things more realistic. Also it gives it a certain appeal that people like to look at. If I did this assignment again I would definitely learn to use my materials better. I would choose a longer ruler so that my orthogonal lines were more accurate. My advice to a person who has never drawn in one point perspective would be to carefully read instructions and take their time. The resource that helped me was actually other people. I say this because when I was practice drawing getting others feed back helped me better my project and look out for those things when I made my final project.

Final Perspective Drawing
Prior to this project, I didn't know how to use a vanishing point. I knew that it was required for perspective drawing, but I didn't know exactly how to make lines utilize a vanishing point to give the illusion of depth. This made my art much better, not only in the sense that I could convey depth, but also in the sense that it gave my art a direction. When my goal was just to make a room with depth, it looked a lot more focused on that goal, which I believe is for the best.
If I were to do this project again, I would add more details. My room felt sad and uninhabited.
My advice to someone who has never drawn in perspective would be this: Draw light lines, have a good eraser, and never forget the vanishing point.
Rulers were my most helpful resource, because I could not have drawn straight lines without a straight edge, and I could not have conveyed depth without straight lines. Erasers were helpful too.

I learned many different things throughout this process but one thing I specifically learned was that there are different types of lines like Horizontal, Orthogonal, and Vertical to the vanishing point at when all lines in the drawing end up meeting each other. Those things that I learn are all connected because without knowing them, I would have never draw anything what I got right now. These are very easy things that are need to follow and I feel that the vanishing point helped create the drawing. If I was to do this assignment again, I would different is to color it in more. Like I would make some lines darker and some light and just put color period. I think my project would've came out better if I used color. My advice to someone who hasn't never drawn a one point perspective drawing before is it can be hard to make something like this and it is but in order to get this done you need to know the simple of views like bird eye's view. Through out this project I have learned to pay attention on simple details in drawings because they will be necessary on accomplishing the final piece of art. Learning this has helped perfect details in drawings so that they can be better and more appealing to the viewers attention. The direction and setting to which I have drawn the tables would be set differently. I would tell them to pay real good attention in class, ask for help, and search up ways to improve their knowledge on the subject. Everything we have learned in class has helped equally, but if you wanna take things step by step, the final project website really helped in the beginning of the task.

This quarter we continue to draw pictures. It get challenging and challenging every quarter, but not impossible. A the quarter goes on, you start have more and more fun with the picture. I mean some of these picture speaks to you, weather artistically or just as a dry picture. I enjoy drawing these pictures.

What is one thing that your learned specifically that you did not know before?
I learned about orthogonal lines. I also learned that the only lines you should have on your page should be orthogonal lines, horizontal lines or vertical lines.
How did leaning this thing make your drawings better?
This knowledge allowed me to make things look real and make things appear 3D.
If you did this assignment again, what would you do differently?
I would spend more time on the table and stool to try and get them to look more realistic.

Make sure you find the right vanishing point. If you don't, your entire drawing will be off.

The slide deck helped me the most because it was easy to follow along with and I could go at my own pace.
Final Perspective Drawing
Throughout this one point perspective project, I have learned about so much including orthagonals, the vanishing point, the "helper" line, and so on. Over all the most important skill that I have acquired is how to make objects in a drawing seem three dimensional by using horizontals as well as verticals.
Learning all of these enhanced my drawing by giving it depth and and intricacy. In general, these techniques made my drawing look appealing realistic.
If I did this project again, I would had more small details to try to make my picture an exact replica of the art room. I would also try to use the floor space better by adding more object to give the room even more depth than before. I might have also tried to add some shading to strengthen the drawing as a whole.
My advice to those who have drawn one point perspective is that the vanishing point is probably the most important part of the creation of the drawing, because it is used frequently. Also, horizontals will give objects a definite shape by giving it corners and edges. Lastly, ALWAYS USE A RULER!

Through my own research, I also found this website http://www.instructables.com/id/How-To-Draw-A-Room-Using-One-Point-Perspective/ which I consulted frequently while I was drawing because it gave clear visuals of how to use the vanishing point while drawing objects and how to create worm's eye and bird's eye view in a picture.

a. While doing this drawing, I learned that being exact is necessary. If one line is missing, or not in the right angle, the entire drawing is messed up. I also learned that using the vanishing point helps you to make your drawing three dimensional.
b. Learning these things made my drawing better because I learned to take my time and be patient. If you stress out, then your drawing doesn't come out the way you want it to.
c. If I could do this drawing again, I think I would try to take a better picture to guide me through my drawing. I took my picture while the class was full, and it was a little crooked, so I had to guess a little bit.
d. My advice is to take your time, because if you rush, it will turn out the opposite of what you wanted. Also, make sure your ruler does not have any dents because your lines won't be straight. Last of all, don't expect this perspective drawing to be perfect (if its your first drawing ever). No matter how hard you work, there will always be mistakes. Practice makes perfect!
e. Ms. Hull helped me a lot. She taught me how to find the exact middle of the page so I could draw my vanishing point. Her slide was also very helpful. She did a step-by-step slideshow of the perspective drawing. I understood everything, and it made my drawing easier to do.

a. What is one thing that your learned specifically that you did not know before?
One thing I know now is that is how to make things appear 3-D and the vanishing point now is like a hero too me when it comes to drawing. My 3- D drawings were ok but they are much better now!
b. How did leaning this thing make your drawings better?
Learning everything we did in the quarter helped me make this room without those practices and tips given in class I would not be able to do all this. This drawing would be worst than it is now which would be really scary I mean it's bad enough.
c. If you did this assignment again, what would you do differently?
I would make my lines darker and color it in without color sometimes I feel like something is missing and I wanted to color this piece as well but the thing is that some of the lines and parts would fade into the color and not be seen as much.
d. What is your advice to someone who has never drawn a one point perspective drawing before?
I would tell them to learn how to make a vanishing point first of all! It can be hard to make something like this and it is but in order to get this done you need to know the basics of view like bird eye's view. Other than that your fine!

This site was a life helper I mean I knew how to draw most of the things but I forgot some easy things and when I looked at this slide deck it came to my rescue!
Quarter 3 Art - Dakota Foster
For this quarter, I didn't enjoy doing the drawings so much. Drawing people is very hard for me and takes a lot of time. I want it to be perfect but I can not get it there. However, I did like drawing with the colored pencils and not using a regular pencil at all. The pictures were more vivid and they made me smile because they were silly looking. For the lessons that had the people in them, it took me a lot of time to do. I wanted the proportions to be correct. Before when doing the shading, I couldn't ever get it right but with these lessons I started to get better at shading. The shading techniques were broken down better in these lessons and I started to grasp the idea of following where the light source is coming from to show the different highlights in the shading. My favorite drawing this time has to be drawing the hair in the man's face. It was so cute and the shading was broken down for me. I felt like I did a lot better this quarter. Also, to go with my drawings - I have some paintings that I have been doing. Hope you like it!

a. What is one thing that you learned specifically that you did not know before?
I learned many drawing techniques throughout this project, with which I had no previous experience or knowledge. Orthagonals were a completely new concept to me. I didn’t know that these lines had any relation to each other. I had seen orthagonals before, and until now, I thought I was drawing them correctly, but Ms. Hull showed us the correct way to draw them, and what these “lines” were actually called.
b. How did learning this thing make your drawings better?
Before Ms. Hull explained orthagonals to us, I depicted 3D figures by extending random lines behind the object to show that they were 3D, while now I know that all these lines in one drawing are connected by the vanishing point, and they are called orthagonals. And by using orthagonals, these lines are more purposeful.
c. If you did this assignment again, what would you do differently?
I would’ve added color to the drawing, if I had the chance to do it again. The color would have enhanced the aesthetics of the drawing and I could have used them to draw shadows and emphasize the 3D nature of the room.
d. What is your advice to someone who has never drawn a one point perspective drawing before?
Use a ruler! Of course, it’s important to know what orthagonal lines are and what a vanishing point is, but with these techniques in mind, simply using a ruler can make your drawing much much better, and more clear. You cannot make orthagonal lines if they’re not straight!
e. What resource helped you the most and why?
I used many resources for my drawing, and each one helped for a different part of my drawing. For the actual drawing of the assignment, the website Ms. Hull provided was very helpful. I don’t think I could’ve completed the assignment without it. Using the website prevented a lot of the mistakes which I would have made if I didn’t know how to draw the room correctly. I referred to the website many times throughout the process.
