Network work

So, my internet company's xfinity and it's connected to my laptop, video game system, my tablet and my phone. I learned that internet is important in our life without it a lot of things would be difficult. I would tell them that they need a cable.

(I worked a lot)

Reed Home Network

My internet service provider is Xfinity and it covers most of my house. The devices that use this network is my computer, my aunt's computer, my phone, my other aunt's phone, my aunt's boyfriend's phone, my mom's phone, my cousin's phone, and my PS4. An OMG moment I have from learning about networks is that the creator said that the internet was free. I found this as an OMG moment because we still pay to have internet. I would tell people that they need to know what and how it connects them to their internet, so if something gets messed up, they know what needs to be fixed.

My Home Network

My home network is provided by Xfinity Comcast. That means that the wire that brings the internet into my house is a Coax cable. There are ten devices that are connected to my Wifi. There is a HP Laptop, two Iphone 5’s, a Chromebook, a HP Printer, an Iphone 6s, an Iphone 6+ , an Ipad Mini , a Samsung Tab 4, and a Peavey Portable Sound System. I learned that only certain ISP’s provide the service through either satellite, or a cable. Other than that, I did not learn anything else about networks. Something that other people would need to know about having a ISP network is that you control what is allowed on the network but the Internet Provider and Government can see what you do on your device so, be careful.

My Home Network

  1. My Internet is ran by my loax. comcast cable. All the connections on the modem router are: my phone, little brothers phone, moms phone, my laptop, dads phone, ps4, mac, dads laptop, tv in living room, tv in parents room, and the tv downstairs.

  2. I didnẗ really learn anything new. This is something I already knew.

  3. I would tell them that they would be shocked of how many devices are connected to the modem router.

My Home Network

This is a map of my home network for 9th Grade Technology. I showed this diagram to Miss Hull, and she asked me the names of the wires. This moment has brought light to an issue I had never known existed: I have not been properly introduced to the wires that make up my home network! All this time, and I had never made even a slight effort to start a conversation. ut how does one begin a conversation with a pile of wires coiled in the corner beside the printer and router? "Why hello, wire. I do not believe we have been acquainted yet. What is your name? How would you prefer I address you? How was your day?" Anyhow, a lesson learned is a lesson learned. Now if you'll excuse me, I must go have a talk with the cable wire back at home.

How my Home Network or how all of the devices on the Internet connection is would be, first all of the internet materials is at my house. Next, we attach the bottom surface for the modem/router to stand up. Then, we plugged in a wire from the modem to the ont box and the ont box is plugged into the wall. After the ont box is on and the modem green lights blink and stayed on, that means we have the internet now. So we get the internet username and the password from the modem and type it from the wifi section to get the internet acess to our devices.

What I learned is that for the past few years, I had never know what is the white box called until I found out this year, it is called the ont box.

I would tell the other people that the internet I’m using which is Verizon is a good use and fast internet. It’s also cheaper than the old internet I used to have at home.

  • What would you tell other people that they need to know about having an ISP/Home network?                       I would tell other people that they should be careful in choosing for a provider because a lot of providers can be sneaky. A person should research before choosing.

My Home Network

. So my connection comes from the internet to the router which is  ( Verizon ) to WIFI media selective .then the internet source to the tvs and next devices ( phones ) , computers ,ipad and also the bath connection is good .
. What was interesting was that all of this stuff comes from such a small thing but it's so much more . I don't know what to tell that all of the things they use all come from the same source .

My home network

  1. All the sources in my network is my three routers are both linked to different things in my house. There is one that controls the the laptop, the printer, and my dad’s phone. The other one is for my brother’s xbox 360, my brother’s xbox one, and our tv. We also have another one which contains my iphone, my moms phone and my brothers.

  2. I have learned how to submit things more thoroughly and how to use the lucidchart.

  3. I would tell them to place their routers at the highest point in the house because the internet falls falls down, it doesn't go up as easy as it does down.

*explain your L.A.N. Local Area Network - all the devices on your internet connection.

In my house we use the internet all the time. But we use it at the same time so it goes slow.

*reflect on what you learned about networks, did you have an OMG moment that you learned something new and interesting? if now write about what you learned.

OMG made me learn that the pictures you take aren’t private anymore until you share it to somebody because the internet already have it in the cloud and you can’t take it off. And don’t lie because then there’s rumors that can ruin your reputation.

*what would you tell other people that they need to know about having an ISP/Home network?

If you want faster internet have your router in the last floor of your house so the internet could fall down.

explain your L.A.N. Local Area Network - all the devices on your internet connection. My local network provider is metro pcs since i use my hotspot for all of my devices. I connect a lot of things to my network, such as my Xbox and laptop. reflect on what you learned about networks, did you have an OMG moment that you learned something new and interesting? if now write about what you learned. I really learned the difference between the cords and there speeds. It definitely gave me insight on networks. what would you tell other people that they need to know about having an ISP/Home network? Make sure not to get ripped off by your Local Area Network Provider

My Home Network

explain your L.A.N. Local Area Network - all the devices on your internet connection.

My combination router has two kinds of connections, Ethernet and wireless. Two of those electrical appliances are connected to the Ethernet, (the TV and the Desktop Computer) while nine other electronic devices have a wireless connection to the combination router.

reflect on what you learned about networks, did you have an OMG moment that you learned something new and interesting? if now write about what you learned.

I learned that there are two kinds of popular routers, modem routers and combination routers. I also learned that there are two kinds of connections from routers to electric appliances, a hard wire called ethernet and a wireless connection.

what would you tell other people that they need to know about having an ISP/Home network?

If I were talking to starters I would say: first you need an internet service provider to give internet for your home, to receive internet form your ISP you need a router. from the router you need a hard wire called ethernet, connected to your router to your large electrical appliances like desktops and TVs. And last, the second connection from your router is wireless for all your handheld devices.
