Morgan Taylor's Perspective Blog <3

The purpose of this project is to draw our art classroom in perspective. To make it look like you are in the room itself.

The steps:
  1. First Draw a line across the top of the paper where you want your ceiling line to be.
  2. Next put a dot in the middle of that line.
  3. Put 6 lines 1 in. apart on each side of the middle dot.
  4. From the last line you made on each side put a longer line down to make the wall your going to be looking at.
  5. Connect the lines to male a perfect square in the middle of the paper.
  6. draw an X through the square to find your vanishing point.
  7. Once you have the vanishing point you can start on the actual drawing.
Note: If the line looks horizontal in real life it will be an orthogonal (Line going to the vanishing point) on the drawing.

It was easy to learn and understand how to ma
ke the drawing look 3D, it was hard actually doing it on the sheet of paper and making it look good.

Victoria Odom
This is a lin
k to one of the best perspective drawings in the class. I Think it looks very realistic and the lines are perfectly straight and it just looks awesome. The lines that look horizontal in real life go to the orthogonal in her drawing.

Art Class

The project that we did was based on us learning about perspective, 3 dimensional squares and also how to make a square equal in the middle of a page.

T
he process I used to complete this project was to use what we were taught about making squares and the perspective point to make the ceiling, the back round and the tables. it was hard because i wasn't use to drawling like this and because i lost my paper last minute and had to restart all over again today.

The person who's project that I thought was very good was Victoria Odom's. I think this because its not only neat and completed, she took her time and she was close to finishing it. It was clear and she worked very hard on it and you can tell.

In My Perspective....

IMAG0195
IMAG0195
What is and how did I do this project?
For this project we had to make a wall in the art room using orothaganal and horizontal lines. Using a vanish point (point in the middle of the paper) to make the picture look more realistic and 3D.

The Process
In order to do this project I had to make a square in the middle of the paper. In order to make the vanishing point I had to put a point in the middle of the square. I had to count the tiles on the ceiling and make them by drawing lines from the vanishing point. Everything from the picture is from the vanishing point which makes it look more realistic.

What was easy/hard?
The easiest thing to learn was making the ceiling tiles it was kind of hard in the beginning but i got it later on. The hardest thing to learn was making the box in the middle of the paper. our teacher set us up by giving us paper that didnt have even dimensions. When i measured it was hard to find the exact middle so i had to measure and estimate.

One person who i think did well...
I think Victoria Odom did a great job with the perspective drawing. I love how she did the objects and desks using the vanishing point. That was an area where I had trouble.

Jessica Maiorano - One point perspective

We started out with a big piece of paper and then made a box and a vanishing point.
For the project we could only use vertical and horizontal lines. First I made the box in the middle of my paper was the back wall or the wall you started from. The the made the ceiling tiles. Then started ti make the window. Finally you put everything in the room. Drawling the objects was hard but the ceiling tiles was not that hard to drawl.

Kristen Bezhani has done a very good job with this project. What was successful in her project was that the window really looked like the window in the actual room. She got the point of 3D effect.

Danielle Little's Room.

In Art class we focus on drawling simple shapes, to create a bigger master piece. Our assignment was to draw the Art Studio, veiwng from one part of the room.
First  we had to locate the center of the paper. Once you find the cnt point you had to create a rectangle equally around the center point. After you make the rectangle, you have to create the ceiling tiles. Next, you draw all the windows and blinds. Later you draw in all the details of the room, using the shapes and methods we learned.
The easy part about this part was actually drawling. The hard part was understanding how to draw each shape as it needs to be.

Gabe Beresin, complete the assignment very well. His details of the room are on point.
Gabe's Drawling, is a prime example to the assignment. He showed details in each little part of the room. His ceiling, and windows is well designed.

Three dimensional drawing

This is my drawing of the farthest wall on right of my art class. What we did for this project was we learned the measurements for a room, and how to draw them realistically on a piece of paper. we used rulers, and had to include everything in our drawings (three dimensionally) to make it look as realistically as possible.  I drew the table in the center back of the room, the ceiling as it'd be seen from a three dimensional view, and the window shades above the table!!

Tyanna Pleasant art room

We started this project with practicing drawing regular 3-dimensional boxes, and using the middle of the page as our point of perspective where everything will eventually meet up in the room. Then I looked at weather each of the objects that I drew in the room has a part that sticks out or that comes out of the wall because I have to make it look 3-dimensional. I drew the part that would be apart of the wall so basically the 2-dimensional stuff, then added the 3-dimensional things <the things that has to look like its jumping off the page.  I did this by Making lines meet up at the point of perspective, the center of the page.
The easiest thing to earn was drawing the strait lines that goes towards the point of perspective and finding the point of perspective.
The hardest thing to learn was how to make the items look 3-dimensional and knowing where to place each item I have to draw.
An artist in my class that i think understood it well was Victoria Odom.
She completed most of her project and she made everything look realistic. It looks like the actual room and everything is popping out of her page.

One Point Perspective of the Art Room

IMG00268-20110404-0934
I started this drawing  by measuring the back wall, then drawing the vanishing point.
After that I drew the side walls, floor, and ceiling. To draw the ceiling tiles I used the vanishing point then drew a line from the corner of the back wall box to the opposite corner of the paper. After that I started drawing the smaller details on the back wall and ceiling such as the lights, the fans, the wifi box, and the windows.

I'd like to mention Kristy who I think did an exceptional job on the project.

My awesome and amazing drawing ^,..,^

Well, in this project we had to draw a wall in our art studio with using the skills that the teacher explain to us. We used just simply a pencil, paper and the wall the we were going to draw. One thing that was easy for me to do was to get what i had in my head down onto the paper. But, one thing that was hard for me was getting the lines straight and matching it up with the others and getting it perfect.

The art that i liked was Victory Odom's work

Art Room

This project is based off of the point of perspective. I started off by using lines drawn from a little point from the middle of the page used to make boxes. Then we moved on something harder which was drawing a room and items that go into a room. After completing the task of drawing a simple room, we moved on to drawing any wall of our art class room. The easiest thing to learn was that drawing straight lines could make a room look so realistic. The hardest thing to learn was on what angle to draw the lines on, when trying to make objects stand out more.

Jaccar Garcia
Jaccar's drawing shows much effort and hard work put into it. She got the idea of perspective and her work is interesting to look at. The way she drew her windows look the same as they do in our art class room.

Perspective

For this project we started with just a few boxes and finished off with a mini version of the classroom walls. The boxes we made helped us in making the few changes the the walls that required making it final to look 3d. For example, when we the doors we had to take in from making the 3d room with vanishing point in able to make the end of the door seem like it comes out. As the same with the windows and the wall. In able to begin we had to find out where our vanishing point was, the vanishing point is the exact middle of the square. From there the vanishing point worked on its on. The easiest part to learn was making the objects come alive. As in actually making the doors and windows seem real. The hardest part to learn was to know when were the correct moments to use the vanishing point and when not to.

Victoria Odom

Victoria Odom's drawing shows there is much effort put into it and also shows her understandings. She was able to do more than just the walls but also she was able to add in the tables and sofa that are in the room. Also Victoria Odom and I chose the same wall so we both were able to help each other out to enrich our drawings. You can see that Victoria Odom understood well how to use her vanishing point by the way the room is laid out.

My Drawing:

Art assignment

We had to draw a walk in the room.
I basically had to use straightedge to and rulers to make the walls.
No it was challenging to make straight lines and everything perfect. It was more of a math project than a art project.

This is a smaller version of the drawing.

Best Drawing Ever....!!!

IMAG0196
How did you do this?
We first drew a dot in the middle of the paper. After that we put a rectangle for the wall from the point in the middle. Next from the point we made the roof tiles. After that we put it all the little details of the room.

The process
I first made a point after that small point i made in the middle i got everything done on the paper.

What was easy to learn?

Drawing the windows on the paper.

What was hard to learn?

Making the walls pop out looking 3d.

Sterling Perry
- I choose this person because  his perspective drawing looks so much like what he was drawing. And the way he mad it look like he did it so easy and didn't have to erase nothing.

Single Point Perspective Kirby

This is the beginning of my single point perspective drawing of the front of the art room. We started by drawing a cube from a single point perspective, then a small, simple room, all with a step by step instruction on what to do. After this she gave us a piece of paper and told us to draw an accurate single point perspective drawing of one of the art walls. I first drew a rectangle in the room, and then drew the tiles on the ceiling. I used these tiles as a guide as to where to put everything else. It was easy to learn how to make the ceiling tiles, but making a back section of the room was difficult.

I think that James Prell's drawing was very good, because his drawing looked a lot like the art room wall he was drawing. He put a lot of attention into detail, and it shows in his drawing.

Drawing Of The Wall In The Art Room .

Explaining of the Project:
We first started drawing boxes on a line to see the perspective and the vanishing point in order to get used of using the vanishing line.

The process:
The process i used to complete this project was the vanishing point and the the Orthogonal.

The Easy thing to learn was when we needed to do the vanishing point, it was easy and quick to learn. But jus like if there is something easy to learn there is always something hard to learn and that was when we needed to get the edges and the corners right learning how to use the orthogonal line in order to make the edges of the doors and walls.

I think jaccar did a god job on the drawing because she had a lot of perspectives and details also she was on point with the vanishing line and everything looks lined up nice and even.

My Weekend

I had a very disappointing weekend but at the same time I had a great weekend. Friday night I went to the Roxy with my friend Kristina, her boyfriend Ryan, and his two friends Brian and I forget the other kids name. Now mind you I have a boyfriend and I am strongly against cheating. But on the other hand nothing was going right between Steve and I. I was on the dance floor with Brian and next thing you know we were making out as if I was single. What makes it worse is that it wasn't just that one time, it was all night and all Saturday night too. I didn't regret it and I didn't feel guilty I just was mad at myself for going against my morals. Yesterday I broke up with steve and that was it. I still have a date for prom and now I have made a promise to myself that I would never cheat again.

A night at Geno's Steaks

So yeah, i had promised Mr. Chase that I would be more on top of this, but when I just become so über busy with my work, it becomes hard for me to handle it all :( But I must say, that I have never felt so independent in my life, ever since I started here in May of '08 and still going strong for almost 3 years now.

    Voces: Una Entrevista Cada Semana

¿Qué he hecho a ellos?

Alfonsina: Muchos quieren tener control. Tampoco escuchan a nuestras palabras.
Rosario Tijeras: Me aman. Siempre.

Y amigas... no estoy segura.
Pepa: Ella no debe tener emociones fuertes.

No sé.

Rosario Tijeras: Emilio. No... Antonio. Pero no... pues... Emilio.

Inspired By Art History

These are some pictures taken with my camera (3.2 megapixels). These pictures are of buildings right outside of my school and the settings that they were taken create a lot of diversity. I edited these photos to my liking and then made an album. These pictures inspire me, because of the angles at which they were taken and the way light is reflected upon the different pictures. I can't really decide which one is my favorite, because they all give different tones within the pictures.
