After what started out as a pitching duel between Captain Lukas Supovitz-Aznar and Masterman's ace Shanahan, the Rocket bats came to life in the 3rd and never looked back. Senior Aaron Watson-Sharer smashed a 2nd pitch for a Double over the Leftfielder's head to kick off a 4-run 3rd that saw every Rocket bat. In what must have felt like "Groundhog Day" for Masterman, Watson-Sharer led off the 4th with another big Double, this time to deep Center to get things started. Another four Rockets would cross the plate after a Double by Senior Leon Finney, Single by Junior Tony Brown and a 2nd Double (and 4th RBI) by Senior Supovitz-Aznar who went 3-4 at the plate and got the win on the mound striking out 6 and surrendering just 2 hits. Senior Ben Simon, who shut down Central last week only allowing 2 hits and no earned runs, continued his hot hitting with two more Singles and 2 RBIs to make it 9-0 after five.

Fire power of this sort had been an early season signature for a team most known for their shut-down pitching, which catapulted a unified squad up from C into the Top Division in the Public League over the past four seasons. After some tough losses in the middle of the year the win secured a Top 4 finish and an automatic berth into the Round of Sixteen starting on Mon, 5/22. Two rounds of playoff games will unfold on the 17th and 19th to determine their first opponent. Meanwhile, The Rockets will play St Joe's Prep in FDR Park at Ashburn Field on Tues, 5/16 to prepare for another deep run toward a City Title, AAA Championship and chance at representing the city of Philadelphia in the PIAA State tournament.

The smiley face and the frowny face are both part of a venn diagram, which symbolizes the concept of finding the middle path, or accepting what is while accepting what needs to change. The pencil represents my love of art, as well as writing (which is also an art). The thought bubble represents my philosophical side, and how my mind is constantly going at 100 mph (This is where the exclamation point comes into play). The rainbow is a display of my extreme gayness. And then there are some hidden secrets to this design, that you will only understand if you know me quite well.  I had to draw this out multiple times, and get past the grueling criticism of my friends, before deciding on this design. First, I had to come up with a list of ten words that describe me. This seemed a daunting task at the start, but I quickly wrote down over 15 words. Then, I was faced with the instruction to narrow down the list to three. This was where I handed the computer with my list on it to a close friend, who proceeded to highlight the qualities on the list that best describe me. Positive and negative space play an important role in my design, because of the distinction between the image and its background. I got really stuck with trying to have the confidence to include a few specific symbols on here. And I got really really stuck with how to turn the image into positives and negatives. The words I originally used were: Creative, Emotional, Philosophical, Hyper, Cringeworthy, Queer in all meanings of the word, Activist, Flawed, Extreme, Goofy, Impulsive, and Intelligent. All of these ended up incorporated into the design somehow.

EDUCATE YOURSELF

I believe “Without Education you’re not going anywhere in this world”  a quote stated by Malcolm X.  When I was a child and even still now as a young lady I learned that   education was the key to success. My father told me  that I could be anything I wanted to be if I stayed in school and put my mind to it. In school I would be educated in history, math, science, and english and at home I would learn about my culture, learn about how to be a lady and how to carry myself. I believe we were put on this earth to learn and not just in school but outside of school too, because education does not stop at the limits of a text book. Education is a never ending rainbow of things to be learned and mastered.Even after you mastered it, it doesn't mean that there isn’t another part of it you didn’t know about because that’s how education works. In this world today we are not going very far because people have turned to nothing but quotes from friends instead of looking things up and researching and talking to people who know about the subject. We have stop educating ourselves. We have stopped asking questions and let someone else answer for us , a person who knows nothing. We have become lazy and that is when progression stops because learning has become a backseat to opinions.Education is important to you and society and we let that slowly slip away because education is no longer more important than instagram likes and no longer more important than how many retweets you get. I believe that education needs to once again take a million steps forward because without it we are a sinking society. I don’t think one day that  everyone will be education but I do believe it takes one step at a time and one person needs to start learning and than teaching other people to learn and ask questions and it will start a ripple effect. The word education is slowly drifting down a river of lost definitions because we forgot how to define and while some people are  very good at defining it, it just isn’t enough. It isn’t enough people to educating themselves and not enough people stepping up to the plate to teach others because we have become so reliant on everyone else that our brains no longer have to think their becoming rusting machines and  the only oil that can help them is a book. The only only that can help us an ignorant society is the  willingness to break boundaries and go outside of ourselves to learn new things. We have become so  into not learning and if we do than just learning about ourselves that we have forgotten that their is a world out there we don’t know  about. I believe that Education has to come back to being the linebacker because all we have are towel boys or girls . Without Education the world is nothing, we are nothing, you are nothing, I am nothing because learning is the key to surviving.

Final Stamp Design

Creating this stamp, I wanted to think of a symbol that, obviously, symbolizes me. I thought, what would be a better symbol than myself? So I wanted to highlight key features of myself that makes me, myself.

Previously, we were given the assignment to come up with three symbols. The symbols were supposed to match the adjective that you chose to describe yourself. I had few adjectives, but the ones that stood about to me were Affectionate, Generous, and Reliable. For affectionate, it was a figure with open arms. For generous, I drew a figure of open hands reaching out. For reliable, I simply drew a flexing arm in a fist. I didn’t feel as though any of the symbols really got out what I wanted to depict. So I decided to create myself.

SMarCutout
SMarCutout

In my design, the negative and positive space both are used to highlight my features. I cut out the positive space which is my hair, and other facial features.  To contrast, I left negative space to highlight the features.

Understanding positive and negative space was a really slow process for me personally. I had an idea, but I would always get confused when I would try it out on my design. I used inspiration from others, realizing that they were simply cutting out the spaces that they colored in to highlight the spaces they weren’t cutting.

Final Stamp Design

Hi my name is Jayden Tull and this my stamp design. My stamp design is a dog. I made it a dog because the stamp is suppose to represent us and who we are. I picked a dog because dogs loving, playful, smart, strong, and loyal, all qualities I consider myself to have. Now I didn’t make this cut out for my amusement, it was an assignment. The assignment was to make a positive and negative space cut out of an image that represents you. What is positive and negative space you ask? Negative space is when you have a picture that has one main part shaded in or around the picture.and positive space is the fill out of the image. So when you look at my stamp the white is negative space giving it the shape and the brown is the actual image that you are seeing giving it dimension. Don’t worry if you don’t understand positive and negative space just yet, I was stuck for a second too. I could look at a picture and tell you which was which but making it for myself was a struggle. You had too see things that wasn’t even there because it wasn’t cut out yet so you have to draw and plan for that. I personally struggled with that but with help from friends and my teacher I was able to make my stamp. After doing this assignment I learned that we see positive and negative space everyday. One way we see it is shadows. All shadows are is positive and negative space. Thanks for viewing hope you enjoy.

negativeandpositive
This symbolizes me in many ways. First is that it is my initials N-Naseem A-Awni H-Hameid. The word that is spells out, "N.A.H", also symbolizes me because my grandfather always told me "Not a hesitation". The way it is messed up and not neat is very special too, because in my mind nothing is perfect.
The place that I mostly got stuck at is knowing where to cut it out because I was not there for a lot of the classes so, I had no idea what negative and positive space and where to cut out my stamp. So in the process of drawing it I was given a mini lesson from my different classmates. If I had more time to I would edit it a lot more.

Stamp cut out

For the pass 4 class periods in art, We were given a task to create a stamp that represents me. My own symbol that everybody can see and know that its mine. We first started with a sketch. My first idea represented me the most because it related back to the thing i love music. So i made an MPC with a hawaiian print behind it. It was a good design up until i realised that i couldn't use it. It wasn't a good design to be cut out into negative space. I then decided to make an old 60s style TV. Why? because i like old fashioned stuff and my first album had an "old look" to it. I started designing and came up with a perfect concept of where the positive and negative space was going to be. After i figured that out, i continued to cut it out on the last day and put it on paper. overall, i like the way my stamp came out. I feel like i did exactly what the objective was and describe myself in an image. And because of the thought and work i put into it, it all came together and made a art piece i love.

This is my stamp, and it is the letter S. I choose to have this as my stamp because the letter S is one of my initials. The letter S is special to me. I always write the letter like that when I write out my name. I always like to have my name stand out. The three words that describe me are spectacular, smart, and scintillating. These adjectives start with the letter S and so does my name. In my picture the negative space is the cut out of the letter. The rest of the stamp is positive. From doing this stamp I was able to visualize the negative and positive space.

Final Stamp

When I first started brain storming ideas for mt stamp I really focused on myself and thought of ways that I could be in my stamp. My first design were my initials over lapping but the problem was that stamp the way the lines intersected couldn't be cut out in perfect positive or negative space. There were always odd lines that didn't look right and would come in and out of positive and negative space. Back to the drawing board I went.
I thought of what something that I could do that showed who I am but wasn't to difficult to be made into positive or negative space. I searched images and there was a picture of a skyline. i immediately knew that the skyline had to be in my design, it represented my home.
Positive and negative space was very important when designing my stamp. I first started drawing the sky line itself and decided that would be the positive space of my stamp but when I looked at it, it was very plain and boring. I decided to write philly but in negative space so that it would be an actual part of the sky line and not some separate piece. i wanted to make my stamp visually interesting.

My stamp is my nickname most people call me by, so I am embracing my nickname in my stamp for people to know. I wanted to do my initials for my idea but it wasn’t working because it was difficult to make my letters inside each other and having a negative space. I found my last design because I found examples to guide me in the internet. I can make letters from positive and negative but I got stuck when I had to visualize it so it can show it. It was challenging and I’m still struggling but with more practice.

Final Stamp Design

For this project, we had to show our knowledge about negative and positive space. So what we had to do was create a stamp using negative and positive space. To start off our stamps, we had to come up with words that we think would symbolizes us. I decided to go with the word "fresh." The reason I chose this word was because I have been using it ever since I was 10. I just came up with it for my PSN account and now I use it for most of my social media accounts. Then we had to come up with a design that has no line drawings for our stamp. After we had our design, we had to cut out the positive space. After this, we had to glue it to our sketchbook, take a photo of it, and make a blog about it. When I was coming up with the design, I decided to make the letters positive space because they were the things I want the audience to focus on. I did this because in most advertisements and logos, I noticed that the things that they want us to focus on is the positive space. I also learned that positive space and negative space in designs are usually different colors. Since I learned this, I made the letters orange and chose a white paper to be the background. I also made the letters in a custom to make the stamp more interesting and less dull. I added the sparkle there also to do the same thing.

"Final Stamp Design"

Untitleddocument (17)
  • During my whole life from before I was born to right now I've been influenced by islam, everywhere I go I keep Allah(It means The One True God) in my life. He has made me a strong person, a kinder person, a loving brother to all my sister and brothers in islam, a followers of all the prophets including Jesus, Moses, and Muhammad(peace be upon them all), and many others before. This stamp doesn't only represent me, but all the people of the world, the last prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) said, each child is born muslim, but it is after that their parents make them turn Jew, Christian, or a  Zoroastrian, this was said by an illiterate man, which proves that God had sent this message to him by sending angel Gabriel, the leader of all angles. Allah also says, "I created my servants in the right religion but devils made them go astray", another things all says regarding our belief,Allah explained that when He created Adam, He caused all of Adam's descendants to come into existence and took a pledge from them saying, Am I not your Lord? To which they all replied, "Yes, we testify to It".These are some of the reasons why the stamp symbolizes me, and I will always believe, because Allah wants me to believe, he have us to do with our lives as we wish, but at the end we will return to him alone. The words I used in my brainstorming were: Funny, Energetic, Different, Religious, Friendly, Serious,Myself,Patient,Respectful, and Peaceful.
  •  The assignments were unique in their own ways, everyday I went through a different process to arrive at a point where I feel that, I've mastered stamp making, and printing. At first I was confused about how to approach this assignment, but once I've seen a couple of examples, it's become a second nature to me. To get to the final design I've been through some difficult phases where I had a sense of looking for help, but Ms.Hull has taught me that people won't always be around guiding you where to go, you must do your best, and push yourself to your limits.
  •  Negative and positive space really help make everything easier to see and focus on, it enables your mind to stay focus on thing at a time to make sense of what you are looking at. It also helps to not overload the space, and really puts a sense of space and mobility, which the brain likes, Who would like to live in a house that is filled with objects everywhere you see? No One, everyone once a nice space to breath and relax.
  • Explain the process of truly understanding negative and positive space. Where did you get stuck? What problems did you have to solve? What did you learn about negative and positive space along the way? The process you must go through to truly understanding negative and positive space is for me trial and error, you must make a mistake multiple times to know how annoying it is to keep on making the same silly mistakes. In my mind I associate positive space with dark colour, and negative space with light colour because it's mobile and free. I got stuck when cutting out the positive and negative space, because most of the time I'm afraid to make mistakes, but again that's how you learn. I had to solve how to make my stamp strong, and the way I did that was by using strips of tape and putting them directly onto the drawing, and cutting the additional tape away. I learned that negative and positive space are filled all around us, and that most people don't even realize our brains automatically use negative and positive space, to keep us aware of our surroundings.

Final Stamp

For my stamp I used symbols that represent me. The J is a symbol for my name. I feel like my name is an important part of my identity. In the quadrant to the left I put a two sided face. On one side the face is happy and on the other it's sad. The face is a nod to my love for theatre and shows that I can be emotional. The symbol at the bottom is the symbol of a scorpio. It's my zodiac sign. Also in the last quadrant I put a G clef to show my love for music.
When I started brainstorming for this assignment I put words in a list. Music seemed to be the one that stuck out most and that's why I played with negative space in the music quadrant to draw the eye to it. With the other symbols I left them in a standard way to show they are more of my characteristics than my passion. The X across the circle shows an a pattern that I find pleasing to the eye. I put the symbols in a circle to show how they flow together. I wanted to make the image reflect my personality.

Art Week5 Day2 Final Stamp Design

(NOTE): I finished my stamp before it was assigned to glue the cut out in our art books on May 8th 2017

This stamp symbolizes me as I play a lot of games at home. The stamp I made uses the Destiny symbol which is the game I play the most of at home on the PS4. Inside the symbol I wrote my name on the ends then the word Gamer in the middle-bottom which is the word I chose when I brainstormed ideas. Some words that I listed down on my brainstorm are intelligent, tall, strongish, and quick. The brainstorm was to help us figure out what we students wanted to do for starting designs. After the starter designs I chose my gamer design to be my final design as it was more symbolic to my personal self and not my school self. Negative and positive space is important especially when making stamps as positive or negative space will be covered in ink to make the image that whatever other space makes. It’s also important to make sure you know what space is which of the image as if you use the wrong space the stamp won’t look right when you use it. I used negative and positive space by cutting out the letters I used to make my name, and word chosen from my brainstorm as part of the background. I kept the inside part for my letters O, D, and tried to with A as part of the actual image. To truly understand negative space you have to look at the image itself then do the same with the background as you don’t know what the actual image was supposed to be if it's confusing. Trying to put the inside letters was a problem as it was hard to get it to stay on its own and I had to use the cutting knife to keep it in place. A mental problem was just the nervousness of not ruining the cut as I was cutting it. Well what I learned about positive and negative space along the way is a tricky thing to answer. If you mean by this week then no, as a whole through the entire quarter up to now I learned a lot of negative and positive space from how you can use it to make 2 images into one frame. Also how you could just use the background to give pictures details without all the lines and colors.

When I was designing my stamp I first started out with this basic idea of my name. I wanted to just get this done as fast as possible because I’m not the best artist. Eventually I really thought about what’s something that could really represent who I am, as a teenager in high school. My stamp symbolizes how easy it is for me to let people into my life, and how easily they can just walk out hence the open door. I wanted to have the background of the image in black so that it would seem like the image had depth, when you looked into the door it felt like you were actually looking into something. I wanted to create something that could make the viewer seem like they could enter this door with their eyes. I used one point perspective when I was making the door to make it more noticeable. Although it was hard in the beginning, my understanding of positive and negative space in art has grown and I feel comfortable using it in my future drawings.

Final Stamp Design - Siarra C

IMG_4232.JPG
I chose this scale because it is the symbol of my birth month. My birthday is October 13 so I am a Libra. This scale is a symbol of intuitiveness and knowing when things are equal. These two things I value the most when it comes to my character and personality. I also made it pink because it's my favorite color which is apart of me. At first I wanted to create a flower but then I realized I only really like to draw flowers they don't really represent me. So I went with something a little more cliche and something that connects with me well. I wanted to do something that represents me more than anything else and I think my zodiac sign and the meaning behind it fits what I was looking for.
The process behind doing my design was hard. I tried to make it look as symmetrical as possible but it wasn't working out. Using that knife was a little challenging at points since I don't have steady hands using stuff like that. My negative space is all the space I don't use. Like in my picture I decided to use black since that's what I consider negative space to be, just there. Negative space is the space that isn't needed and the positive space is the drawing itself, it's everything that needs to make the picture.
I think I truly understand the meaning of negative and positive space. Some pictures like intricate ones it could be hard to point out the different spaces but if you start to get the context it's not that hard. In the future though I would like to start doing some of these negative and positive space drawings they are actually pretty cool to look at.

Final Stamp Design

There are many reasons why I chose the symbol that I chose. One being because it symbolizes royalty. It is a crown for a king, but also a crown for a queen. Most words that I used in my brainstorming described what a king and a queen is. Royalty, smart, nice, proper, intelligent, etc.

The assignments given throughout this unit helped me to better understand what negative and positive is. I had problems with the difference between the two, and the pictures just looked completely confusing when I was first introduced to negative and positive space.  When we actually cut out images and put them into positive and negative space, I understood it completely.

Positive and negative space to me means erasing all detail and identifying the picture when it is outlined(negative) or colored in solid(positive). When viewing positive and negative space, you are supposed to look at the subject from different perspectives. Take the vase and the two faces for example. Some people see a vase, and others see two faces. It’s all in your perspective.

Final Stamp Design

In this stamp, I believe it symbolizes me greatly. To start off just by looking at the picture you notice the bright yellow color. this surely represents me because of I very vibrant and bright. I stand out in any plain space.the words that were given to me and suggested that it used from a very close friend were the words perfectionist, upbeat and ambitious.
The word upbeat definitely came from the color of the stamp. The word perfectionist made me think of a clear target, and the evenness and clean fit of all the pieces that made up the whole picture. Last but not least is ambitious. This word is represented on this picture with the arrow pointing up. I found some images online and there was this repetition of an arrow. I believe that symbolized reaching for my goals. Any obstacle that's been set I've been told that I show my strongest desire to reach and succeed in it.
My final design was influenced by the classroom paintings and google images. When I saw the words images popped up into my head. For example, for the word perfectionist, I looked at the captain America flag and the target sign and it automatically created connections between the images and the words. For the word ambitious, I googled it and one key component that I realized in all of them was the arrows and stars. I made a slight adjustment and made sure the arrow was centered in the middle of the star in which was in the center of the target. The word upbeat was a last minute arrangement because I didn't know how to incorporate into my drawing and then I thought of colors. Once I searched the symbolism for different colors and I came across yellow in which was the best one that fit the description of upbeat.
The importance of positive and negative space is that it centers the focus of the viewer to positive spaces. The positive spaces in my image are the most important parts that symbolize the words that described me.
One part that I got stuck in was when I was about to cut out the positive and negative space. Then I realized that the arrow which was positive space ran into the strips that made up the target which was also positive space. I then decided to stop the strips before that encountered the strips. I created a negative out layer around the arrow and the star.

Final Stamp Design

In this assignment, I created negative and positive space. I expressed myself through this design. I had the letter C for the first letter of my name. Inside there's an outline of the Dominican and Salvadorian flag. My parents come from El Salvador and the Dominican republic. They are a huge part of me. I love my parents. They're apart of how I became the person I am. The first step I had to take was to think of 10 adjectives to describe myself. The most important one to me was my hispanic culture, my name, and family. I decided to combine these things into a symbol. Also when I visited the Dominican Republic, the palm trees were beautiful. When I think of these places, the palm trees are the first things that come to mind.

I had to figure out negative and positive space. Originally, I had a line drawing that didn't show positive and negative space. I colored my whole paper in pencil and created eraser marks to create my design. This strategy helped me understand how to understand this concept. Another concept that helped me was when I colored in the positive space so I could identify my mistakes and fix them. I realized I should focus on how the design will look afterwards when I cut it out. I have learned how to create my design and properly understand them. The vision in your head must be shown through the negative and positive space concept. The positive space is the main focus of the picture and the negative space is referring to the background. Practicing new strategies and testing them out independently really helped me fully understand it better.

"Final Stamp Design"

I chose to do a stamp cut out on my picture because it kind of represents me and my culture. Yin Yang means dark and bright. In the bad, there is a good in it, and in the good, there is bad in it. To me it means that everyone can change either for the good, or for the bad. Everyone is different and has things that they don't want to share out to people because they are afraid that they might be judged by others. The words that I thought of was different and surprise.
At first I was supposed to do a different picture and cut it out, but it was too complicated for me and this one was nice and simple for me to do. The curves of the dripping part was hard for me to cut out because it was small for my razor and it would always move and get caught with each other. Since the Yin Yang is black and white, it was very easy for me to know the negative and positive side to cut out. One side of the Yin Yang is black, and the other side is white. Black would be the negative place for me and white is positive. The other two small circles in them would be white on the black side, and black on the white side.
Negative space is the part that I cut out and the positive space is the empty part where you just leave it alone. It was easy and simple for me to do it and I would only get stuck when I was cutting the small little drops. Since the positive side had space and there it blended into the paper, I cut out green to bold the sides to show that it's there. Since I didn't have glue to paste on the green bold part, I had to use super glue because that was the only glue that I had (it's why there's small dots on the green line sorry guys). Negative and positive space is easy for me to learn because I've already learned how to do it when I was younger back in my old school.

My Stamp

When I was first giving this assignment of creating a stamp that represent me I had thought of many different. In order to get my ideas straight I wrote words that described me the best like caring, "colorful" and many more. Now my stamp has two words representing it since the two words, that were nice and mean, just fit me. Sometimes I can a mean friend or one of the most caring when I know you need someone. I now needed a drawing that can represent those two things. Eventually I thought of the picture you see down below which is half the angel and demon and when I thought of it I just knew it was perfect. Since in our assignment we had to show negative and positive that's what I did when I finished drawing but I was having a problem. I was able to show positive space but I was not able to show negative space. I looked around me and saw how my other peers had done their artwork with the negative space making me able to know how to show negative space in my drawing. Afterward I cut the construction paper as best as I could and created the artwork you see down below. It's very important for you to be able to show that negative and positive space because when you contrast your art you bring out more feelings and catch viewer's eye with the you contrast it.

Well I used the words lit and king to describe me. I used this to symbolize the type of person I am. I love to hang out with my friends so I tried to emphasize something that they would think is what represents me. The assignment that I was given consisted of me gathering words that somehow described me as a person. With those words we would have to find a symbol that represented a select few of those words.  Positive and negative space is very important in art. The two combined create an image and shows the outline of that figure that the artist draws. I used this by having the crown as my positive space and the flame as my negative space. It took awhile for me to figure out negative and positive space. I got stuck when I had to figure out which one was which but as soon as I found out how to do that it started to become easy to me.

Final Stamp Design

IMG_7607.JPG This speech bubble represents me because I tend to have a lot to say. I usually don’t say what I want to say, so that’s why the dots are there. The assignment said to write down 10 words that best describes who we are. We then had to pick 3 of the 10 words that best describes who we are. My 3 words were unique, intelligent, and creative. This stamp represents me because when I give my opinion on things, it tends to open people’s minds in a different way. I came upon this design because a classmate said it suits me due to my abilities to entertain people. I however thought this design suits me because of my creative ideas.

Negative and positive space is important because without it, we wouldn’t be able to see things clearly. They help us focus on what the main idea of a picture is. I used positive space in my design by outlining the speech bubble and the 3 little dots. To truly understand the process of negative and positive space, you have to know what the main subject in a picture is. The main subject is the positive space, and the rest is the negative space. I rarely got stuck on anything while completing this assignment. I had trouble cutting my original drawing of the speech bubble, but other than that, there wasn’t any difficult parts. I learned that positive space is usually the space that is the lightest or darkest in a picture.

Final Stamp Design

For this assignment I had to create a stamp the represented me. The previous assignment helped guide us to make our “stamps.” We made our design on a separate piece of paper.  We then shaded the other side of the paper so we could get the design of the stamp on construction paper. We cut out our designs to show the negative and positive space. My final product is above.

The green is my negative space and the white is my positive space. The eyes shouldn’t be cut out. I found the negative space by thinking if a light was behind it what would the light go through. If there wasn’t negative and positive space my guy wouldn’t be shown in the picture.

When we first learned about negative space it was really confusing. Then over time I started to understand it more and more. I got stuck when doing this assignment because I had a belt but due to the negative and positive space it wouldn’t show. Another thing that wouldn’t show would be the eyes but I didn’t realize that until I cut them out. I also had to change lines into shapes so that they could show on the final product.

Final Stamp Design

My stamp contains a crown on top of a lowercase n. I choose this because of my name. Me personally, I love my name and as a young girl I also enjoyed the Disney princesses. Until this day I still enjoy them. Looking at the princesses I saw that most of them have crowns. My mother asos calls me her princess. At first when I was introduced to this assignment I honestly didn't know what I was going to do. All I was thinking about was what was really important to me that really represent me. I was stuck there for a while too. I was drawing a lot of objects and then telling myself noo too many times. What really helped my during this assignment was making the 10 top things that represented me. In my stamp my n and the crown is the negative space. During making my stamp I didn’t really get stuck. This assignment helped me a lot ad know I know the difference between negative and positive space.
