Remix 1 Google Slide
I learned that the shape, color, value, and form is important if you're trying to design a good slide. The color is important because it contrasts the font color with the background color. The shape of the picture includes space. You don't want your pictures to be too big to fill up all the spaces or form a cluster. The value and form is the height or width of the pictures. It's also the different tone of color, darkness and light of your pictures.
I made these changes because I realized that the background should be a little lighter so the black would be more eye catching. I changed the ukulele to a different color because I realized that most of my pictures are black and white, it wouldn't be balanced if I used a different color of picture. I switched up the pictures so the all black pictures wouldn't be all together on one spot.
The research that I did helped to create a better slide because it gave me different examples. It showed me how the fonts size and different shade of color for your background is important. Some of the sources that I used to create this slide was to figure out the vocabularies that were part of the websites. I also used multiple examples from the websites to figure out how to make a good slide. The websites were, Presentation Zen, Slide Design Link, and Elements of Design Defines. In conclusion, it showed me the differences of size fonts, background color and more.

Hello my fellow classmates. My name is Christopher Jacobs and today I am going to show you guys my project that defines me and shows some things you may or may not already know about me. The picture I have shows many things about me that represents my overall life and how I think. For example the Sonic in the background shows my overall love for the series and love for videogames in general which is supported by the Overwatch logo and the Playstation logo. This picture defines me in a number of other ways as well such as the Marvel logo is a big part of my life as I adore the comics and the movies not as much. What influenced me to use the pictures I did was just some real hard thinking about what truly defines me but is still simple enough to be a picture that’s easily understandable. This picture overall describes a big chunk of my life that I feel comfortable in sharing without it all getting too deep. What I learned is things on how I should design my slide like inputting big letters with colors that pop out and to make the circle of attention and many other things. This picture is not my final one but I will discuss why I changed it, I changed it because I simply feel as if it was too much and I could do better and considering this should be a billboard, I feel as if it's something you wouldn't be able to skim it and see everything in the picture, especially on a highway.

A little bit about myself
Here is my slide. As you can see there is text for all of you to read, and its a little bit about myself one of my hobby's is that i like being creative and like building these small model kits right here. one of my favorite foods is sushi, and I also love baseball. I put in a blue background because I love the color blue and what it represents it symbolizes faith trust and wisdom and loyalty. What I could do better is that i could find more ways to represent the definition of me because I feel that there is more of my likings and favorites than my own emotion.

Welcome to my All about me Slide
My goal here was to make this a mixture of my personal taste and commonly used design techniques.
The first thing I thought of when I was begining my slide was that I wanted to make my backround the complex aspect of my slide
The next thing I thought was really interesting was the “the thirds rule”
For people who aren’t familiar with this term. The thirds rule
and used that rule when I was choosing the background.
I used the text to be the simple aspect and the background to be my colorful aspect

Please God he’s only 12, please don’t take him. He has so much to live for. Please Noah, we still need to go to Japan, remember? You said you wanted to go. Please Noah, if you come back to me I’ll buy you anything you want and take you wherever you want to go. Please Noah, I was Just in the corner store buying your favorite snacks for you. Please just come back, I’ll do anything to have you back. (go down to her knees)Please Noah, Please, Please(says this a little bit quieter), Please(says it even quieter), Please(murmurs)… (everything goes quiet).
(wiping her tears)He’s not coming back. My baby boy Noah has died from a stupid heart diseases that was suppose to be cured by now.You know what? I am going to text the doctor that was suppose to save my boy. (stands up and pulls out her phone) you f***ing liar! You told me that his heart would’ve been cured by now, then why has he died. This is all your fault. And send. (Phone dings)Oh it’s him. (shock)
(reading the text message)WHAT! He would’ve been cured by now, but Noah didn’t take his medication?! Why didn’t he take his medication? Does he hate me? Please Noah tell me what have I done. Please, why did you stop taking your medication? You were so close to having a normal life again. Why did you give up on life? (everything goes quiet again). You know what, Noah deserves to die. That’s what you get for not taking your medication. And all you are a little punk. (angrily)Even before you got your heart disease all you were was a needy little brat that didn’t appreciate anything. (throws the snacks on the ground)For example you always just stand there and ask questions or distract me when I’m working and so I don’t get my work done. And my boss almost fired me because I keep handing in important work in late. Also when I bring food to the table all you would do is complain because you don’t want to eat it or you don’t like it. Also that time at Disneyland you yelled at me for not buying you an ice cream cone. And the same thing happened at the beach. I don’t even know why I spent money on your ungrateful little punk ass. (yells)I wish I never had you. (everything go quiet once again) (shock)
Oh God, what I have I done. How could I say those things. How could I call myself a mother after all those terrible things that I said. (goes down to her knees again and picks up the snacks on the ground) (starts to cry) I am sorry. I hope you could find forgiveness in you heart to forgive this terrible mother. Noah I am sorry.

I know that colors gets people attention but I couldn't really make my background a color because the pictures wouldn't look right. Also, I know if the pictures are big it would be hard for the audience not to attract to my slide. I chose these pictures because they are pictures that will literally explain me. My pictures are slanted because if I was to just put them straight it would be a little cramped up and it gives it style.

In my 1 slide I used a variety of colors to draw the audience attention. I made my letters big so that they stand out. I tried not to cramp my 1 slide up so I only put 4 pictures in my slide to tell about myself. Of course I wanted to add many more pictures but I did not want my classmates eyes to roll all over the place. I decided to use bright colors for my background because bright colors tend to make people happy. Also these four pictures strongly describe who I am and what I like.
Tech and Comp slide inspired by Me Magazine benchmark
For my slide based off our Me Magazine project, I used part of my essay called “Dungeons and Passions” which was written about my passion for the game “Dungeons and Dragons” and growing up with it thanks to my nerdy father. I knew that to start I wanted a fancier-looking font to go with the fantasy theme, so I used what I thought was fitting for the project; “Old Standard TT”. My goal was to make a very centered and eye-catching slide, so I moved the text to the middle to gain a sense of unification in the slide. Knowing the picture that I wanted, I decided to make my text block have a black highlight with white text so that it could stand out for the center, be legible, and be eye-catching for the reader. The contrast of color and flow from the image and text helped this slide work much better, and I’m happy with the way it turned out in the end since I love the essay I used from my Me Magazine project.

When I first started creating my slide for this presentation, I couldn’t figure out which idea I wanted to do. I came across this quote a couple months ago, and I loved how relatable the definition of l’esprit l’escalier was. Since I am the type of person who brain works faster than my mouth, whenever I think of a reply in a conversation that’s a fully formed thought the next topic is introduced and I try to think of something to say, and the whole cycle repeats again. I wasn’t sure which picture I would put, if I wanted to put stairs, the infinity stair design or a ladder. The staircase would make the most sense, since l’esprit l’escalier translates to staircase wit, but the infinte staircase would be a nice touch because of the idea that a perfect conversation is infinite and unimaginable.
