First you say Hola`

Then you say Me llamo _______- which means my name is

After that you would say ¿Y t’u? which means and you, which is asking their name and they would reply with their name.

What you need to learn:
1.  how to ask how someone is
2. how to say good morning, goodbye, good afternoon, good night, hello, see you soon , see you later, see you to tomorrow.

Words in Spanish:

1. good morning- buenos dias
2.goodbye- adios(chao)
3.good afternoon- buena tardes
4.good night- buenas noches
5.hello- hola
6.see you soon- hasta pronto
7.see you later- hasta luego
8.see you tommorrow- hasta manana

When you use these words:
1. you use the word good morning in the morning before 11 a.m.
2. you use the word good afternoon from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
3. you use the word good night from 8 p.m. to midnight
4. you use the word the hello when you first see someone
5. you use the word goodbye when you're leaving someone
6. you use the words see you soon when you think you'll see someone in a short amount of time
7. you use the words see you later if you're going see someone later in that day
8. you use the words see you tomorrow when you're going to see the person the next day

What you need to learn:
1. the difference between formal and informal language

1. When to use tú and when to us usted;
 -When talking to a friend or another person you are the same age as or younger then- you use tú 
-When talking to a superior or teacher or elder- use usted.

Knowing the Spanish alphabet is just as important as knowing the English Alphabet. It has many uses and many reasons. I am going to teach you how to be able to spell out words in both English and Spanish and so that you can easily interpret what is being said through spelling. Use the chart below to see how the Alphabet is written in Spanish. 

In the video below, we are demonstrating how when you are meeting someone who is very fluent in Spanish and you want to learn the Alphabet, you guys can study together and learn the Alphabet the right way. 

In spanish convertations, keep in mind how to show proper respect to others.
 Tu is used for a causal way of talking, were as usted is used in a more formal way.
Tu you would basically use when you are talking to peers, friends, or anyone the same age as you. Usted is used when you talk to someone with an important title (say, the president) an adult, or someone older than you.

Here's an example between to friends-

SPANISH
​Amy- "Hola! Como estas (tu)?
Ellen- "Hola! Moy Bien, gracias. Y tu?"
Amy- " Mas o menos, gracias."
Ellen- "Adios!"
Amy- "Adios!"

ENGLISH
Amy- " Hello! How are you doing?"
Ellen- Hello! Very good, thank you. And you?"
Amy- " Regular, thanks."
Ellen-" Good bye!"
Amy- " Goodbye!"

Now lets see an example of a more formal converstaion between a girl and her mothers friend:

Woman- " Hola, Muy bien, gracias. Y tü?"
Girl- "Muy bien, gracias."

Girl- " Adios senorita!"


ENGLISH

Here's a lesson from my pareja on how to say the days of the week in Spanish!

Its important to learn the weather in spanish. Here's a lesson to help:
When you want to know the temperture, you would say- " Que tiempo?"
Then, someone would reply: " Hace......" (or, it is.)
When watching the news, you also need to know if its going to be cold, warm, hot, or freezing:
"El calor" = Hot
" Frio"= Cold
"Sol"= sunny
" humedo"=humid
"lloviendo"= rainy
" Viento"=windy
" Nevando"=snow
