I missed a day of Spanish class , which means I missed an important lesson , which was how to learn the alphabet in Spanish , I ask my friend who knows how to speak fluent Spanish to help me with the alphabet.
Good Luck!
a (ah) b (beh) c (seh) d (deh) e (eh)
f (efeh) g(HEY! h(acheh) m(emeh) n(eneh)
ñ (enyeh) o p (peh) q (coooo) r (ereh) s (eseh)
t (teh) u(ooooo) v (beh) w (doble beh)
x (equis) y (giega) z (seta)
Last but not least the weather!
It is hard to explain but I am here to help. Don't be afraid to be mad at yourself for not understanding.
It is hot- Hace calor
It is cold- Hace frio
It is windy- Hace viento
It is raining- está lloviendo
It is snowing- está nevando
It is cloudy- está nublado
You must remember to always add the "hace or está" if not the phrase is incorrect.
For example someone ask you what is the weather outside you would say "está nublado" is it cloudy.
The image below is going to help you better understand the weather!

Lesson: In order to tell time you need to know:
- How to count in spanish
-How to ask what time it is
-How to say what time it is.
1 o’clock | Es la una |
2 o’clock | Son las dos |
3 o’clock | Son las tres |
4 o’clock | Son las cuatro |
5 o’clock | Son las cinco |
6 o’clock | Son las seis |
7 o’clock | Son las siete |
8 o’clock | Son las ocho |
9 o’clock | Son las nueve |
10 o’clock | Son las diez |
11 o’clock | Son las once |
12 o’clock | Son las doce |
:15 | cuarto |
:30 | media |
:45 | menos cuarto |
y | and |
menos | minus |
Spanish=English
¿Que hora es?= What time is it?
Son las doce y media= It is 12:30
Son las tres y cuarto= It is 3:15
Es la una y diez= It is 1:10
Son las dos menos cuarto= It is 1:45
There are other numbers you have to know to become experts at telling time.
If it is 1:55 you can say Son las dos menos cinco. or you can say Es la una y cincuenta y cinco.
These both mean the same thing, they are two different ways of saying 1:55.
The following numbers are numbers you need to know:
:20 | veinte |
:30 | trenta |
:40 | cuarenta |
:50 | cincuenta |
So if you wanted to say it was 6:40 you could say:
Son las seis y cuarenta.
Son las siete menos veinte.
They both mean the same thing.
If it is AM you should say de la mañana after the time.
If it is the afternoon you should say de la tarde after the time.
If it is PM you should say de la noche after the time.
Ex:
1:05pm= Es la una y cinco de la tarde.
11:27pm= Son las once y vientisiete de la noche.
8:30am= Son las ocho y media de la mañana.
Here is a video about a boy who is late for class and asks his Puerto Rican friend what time it is.
