World Of 100 Analysis
Age: I noticed that many people are between the ages of 15 and 64. So I believe that means that many people don't live very long after 65.
Religion: The amount of muslims over powers the amount of other religions.
Electricity: This graph shows that 65% of the people will not have access to electricity.
My answers seemed very close to what the actual answers were. I was off with a few answers but I was close enough. I was a little of when it came to the religions but otherwise I was pretty much on point. The thing about the life span of these people kind of made me sad but it didn't surprise me. Many of these people are better off dead no offense but they go through so much already. I feel bad that that is the way it has to be.
Bolivia vs the Dominican Republic
The countries I focused on was the Dominican Republic and Bolivia; Bolivia being located in South America and the Dominican Republic being located in North America. The process of completing my benchmark could have been much better but it went as the following. I researched information on both of the countries and noted important facts that I felt should have been included in the benchmark. I then referred back to Diamond's 5 point frame-work and compared both of the countries. I found a cool layout to use for my final product and that's how I completed my benchmark. Reflecting upon the 5 point frame-work, it was not straightforward and required me to dig deeper and perform even more extensive research than I had done already. I also I had to do some more research to thoroughly understand the 5 point framework. If I could have changed anything, I would probably change the layout of my project because I feel like I made it more complex than it had to be along with me feeling like I didn't have enough time to complete the project and in result, my benchmark is late.

Benchmark Reflection
After researching many different interesting countries I decided to use Mali and Ethiopia. The official name of Mali is Republic of Mali. The political system is a semi presidential system of government. They have been collapsing for a while now. The official name of Ethiopia is Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia or "Yeltyop'iya Federalawi" in the native language. The flag is a tricolor of green yellow and horizontal stripes with a blue disk and a yellow outlined star and rays in the center. They both are very interesting and somewhat similar so I decided to write about them.
Well to start off my process I did a lot of research on Mali and Ethiopia. I decided to do extra research as I went along for the simple fact that these places were really interesting and I believe more people should read about them and want to learn more. I had to think of a creative way to portray this information without boring the audience.
The five point frame was actually very hard to follow even though it describes exactly the information you need. I found it difficult to follow because many things were hard to research about especially the one about the societal response to problems. If I could change one thing about my product I would have put forth a lot more work and information because I know I could do more.

Be Concise- When using sizing to represent a size visually the ratio of the object's sizing must have the same ratio to the numbers.Example: if country A has 100,000,000 people and country B has 200,000,000 then the image that represents country B should be 2x bigger than country A's image.
Be Visual- Use images and visual representation to resemble the information. Do not not use many words. Any words that are used need to have NO way to be resembled visual and must be important enough to be used.
Be Smarter- Use space and words smartly make sure any image, word, info that you use is completely necessary and used smartly.Be Transparent- The info-graph should be clear and easy to understand explaining any abstract representations.
Be Different- Be inspired by other graphs but think differently about your own design and how your information can be applied visually.
Be Accurate- Do lots of research and make all info accurate.
Be Attractive- Use attractive colors and shapes. Use techniques that are known to attract people to read or understand more.
Be Varied- Try different representations and forms of presentations.
Be Gracious- Be bold without being to cliche bold.
Be Creative- Use all creative tools that are available to you. Don't take th easy way out and don't be afraid to try creative things.
Which of these areas did you excel in? Which were not so well represented? Why do you think some elements of design were easier or harder to include in the end product?
I think we excelled in the attractive aspect, we made our info-graphic visually appealing and easy to understand but I think we could've improved on the varied aspect of the project only for the fact we didn't really take advantage of all the different resources that were available to us. I feel like it was harder to incorporate ideas later on after we already had this idea of what we wanted it to be.
