4. Es un mural de violencia en la República Dominicana, con dos mujers y dos soldados.
5. Estudiantes de SLA fue en la República Dominicana con "Build-On."
6. Accidentado, con las playas.

  • ¿En qué país se tomaron estas fotos?
    Creo que las fotos fueron tomadas en Haiti. 

  • ¿Cuándo se tomaron?
    Creo que se tomaron estas fotos durante una guerra.

  • ¿Qué pasó en la primera foto?
    El la primera foto hay un foto de un hospital.

  • ¿Qué pasa en la segunda imágen? ¿Quiénes son?
    En la segunda imagen hay una foto de unos soldados durante una dictadura donde había personas desaparecidos. 

  • ¿Por qué estaba allí el grupo en la tercera (third) foto? ¿Quiénes son?
    En la tercera foto hay fotos de personas que están tratando de ayudar las personas de este país, o posiblemente unos turistas. 

  • ¿Cómo es la topografía de este país?
    La clima es caliente y es un sitio tropical.

    Davonte Martin Wins Gates Millenium Scholarship

    Congratulations to Davonte Shahir Martin for being the 2nd recipient of the Bill Gates Millennium Scholarship at Science Leadership Academy. Gates Millennium Scholarship is granted to only 1,000 students across the country to further their education to the university of their choice.

    The award is renewable for up to five years for an undergraduate degree in any discipline. Scholars who go on to pursue graduate degrees in computer science, education, engineering, library sciences, mathematics, public health, or science are eligible to receive continued funding.

    Davonte will be attending Pennsylvania State University, main campus, and is interested in pursuing computer science and broadcasting majors. His interests are in film and media and he wishes to be part of executive media industry.

    "So we'll need about 6 hotel rooms to fit all of us." 

    .....

    "I'm looking for a house that will sleep 16 people." 

    ......... (13 bedroom house) 

    "Well, now we have 21 people, is there enough space?" 

    ........ (someone else rents the house before we get our deposit in) 

    "Well we need about 4 hotel rooms now."

    ..... 

    "We just need two cheap hotel rooms for the weekend." 

    ...... 

    "One room is fine; it'll just be 5 of us."

    I have the greatest most loving, caring, and all around good person as a mother. And I am so lucky that she is all mine...well not all mine, I do have to share with my younger sister. But she cool so it's okay. But I love my mommy with all my heart and I know there isn't another person out there like her.

    Well I had off from work today so I suppose that was a plus and I got to spend some time with my mom, even if it was at home. Though one downside I would have to say was being sick. I mean having a cold can really ruin a day; you know? Though I am glad I saw my mom happy. Oh and my grandmother, cant forget her.

    Omg, I can't stand anymore. I've been trying to work on this same essay for three days straight. I keep getting the same answer that won't answer my question. I'm emotionally distraught, not only from this paper, but from my life. Oh geez, I'm at my limit. I honestly can't handle much more...

    At least I was able to give my mom a good mother's day. This was the first one without my dad. He usually took care of everything. I didn't know what to do, so I started with the small things. I let her sleep in, pulled up ecards with out favorite characters on them, then I did her hair. I gave her bangs like me and curled her hair. It looked really nice, once she pulled them into a ponytail-ish bun. We went out to Ruby Tuesdays and got our favorite waiter.

    I guess I don't care about how I feel today. As long as mom is happy, then I will be happy to.
